SACU is an NGO, a non-profit and a charity focused on advancing education for the vulnerable children in Buundo, Uganda.
Vision - SACU is a brand you wear on your sleeve. SACU issues are calmly broached and members love to contribute. They are known not solely for their religious affiliation, but known because they are with it and they care.
Approach - as SACU’s services are analyzed, Solution-Set executions function as business design catalysts and as customer experience upgrades.
Problem One
While the organization's mission to get rural children in school was clear, the entry points into the organization and it’s projects were limited to conversations with board members. This made it difficult for funding bodies to connect with the cause.
Service Set 1 ~ Three Signals Logo update, Campus plan, Product update

Purpose: Merge logos and spark conversation around brand unity.

Purpose: Supply a simple, yet articulated vision for development fundraising.

Purpose: Acknowledge the economic dimension of sustainability. And project that SACU also shows up for itself - developing funds through business.

Purpose: Set up a new site that can connect with a modern benefactor.

Purpose: Standardize campaign planning and website contribution processes for existing team members and potential new volunteers.
Problem 2.
With SACU’s growth comes concerns of organizational risk, efficiency and scale. Without a clear design strategy for the business, near-term projects and investments could create patterns that thwart future-state outcomes.

Charity Strategy
Our aim is to increase access and, through that access, advance education. SACU’s bursaries and scholarships are a vehicle for educational improvement.
Behavior change is at the core of our strategy; We fund opportunity, and those opportunities increase capability, for students and schools.

Coaching and Tooling, Analysis Engagement (in progress)
Coaching and tooling.
New CX management tools and support for internal skill building are tested within the SACU Ecosystem.
Analysis Engagement
As the business grows and the problems become more people-centered and integrated, more tangible forms of engagement are required. This serves to expose participants to manners of design thinking, as well as foster and document agreement around problem statements and work briefs.
